About Us

We are the IA Fencing Team.  We are a team of high school athletes supported by our parents, our friends, and each other.

The purpose of the club is to give students at Innovation Academy the opportunity to learn the sport of fencing. All levels of fencers are accepted, from beginner to well experienced. In Georgia high schools, fencing is a club activity rather than a sanctioned sport, and the only weapon used is the Epee.  We compete with about 25 other Atlanta area schools in the Georgia High School Fencing League.

Practice begins at the start of the fall semester and continues through beginning of February. Tournaments run from September until February, and average one or two per month.
